After completing Week 8 and 9, I have gained a profound understanding of the potential of AI and the impact of storytelling on education. I will now share some of the knowledge I applied while crafting my story comic script and reflect on what I have learned during these two weeks.
To be honest, I am not well-versed in advanced intelligence, and my understanding of AI primarily comes from movies, VR, and my dear friend, Apple’s “Siri.” However, I have been keeping up with the AI revolution, particularly through Chat-gpt, which has been an invaluable resource for learning about these cutting-edge technologies. For instance, while working on the story script for Week 9, I was researching various ways to approach planting. Although Google yielded numerous results, it was incredibly time-consuming to navigate through a dozen different websites to complete the assignment. Fortunately, Chat-gpt provided me with quick and precise answers, significantly reducing my research time, as demonstrated below.
Thanks to Chat-gpt’s assistance, I was able to find inspiration and decided to write about the proper techniques for growing flowers and plants. I selected this topic because my mother has a passion for decorating her garden, but she struggles to maintain healthy plants due to her lack of knowledge. Initially, I attempted to use Dall-E to generate a series of sketches for my story, but unfortunately, I faced challenges in finding a cohesive set of images and had to abandon the idea.
In the script I followed the Five statements in “How to Write a Script for Video” （knott）to make sure the audience clearly understood what I was trying to communicate, and here is a basic sketch of my story video.

In conclusion, after gaining insight into the advancements in technology over the past two weeks, I have developed a deep appreciation for their beauty. However, I have also noticed a growing reliance on these powerful tools, and this makes me concerned about the possibility of losing my ability to think critically. As such, I believe that academic integrity should be upheld, and it would be beneficial for software to have tracking labels like “watermarks” to prevent students from violating academic standards. As we delve deeper into the world of high-tech products, it’s worth considering how these AI systems will evolve and whether there will be new breakthroughs in the short term, while also questioning the potential popularity of brain-computer interfaces in the long term. It’s also worth pondering whether the clash between humans and robots, as portrayed in movies, is an inevitable reality.

AI is the trend of technological development. Chat GPT is actually just a search method and thinking mode, but its appearance has changed people’s current search habits. The previous habit was to input keywords, and then find the required information from many information. Chat GPT will directly give you the answers you need. If Chat GPT is combined with robots, cars, and drones, it will break existing rules and complete many difficult tasks. This is a big step in human progress.
I am glad that we have a common view when we learn this week’s knowledge, the development of artificial intelligence still needs human assistance.
